FriendTimes’ Two new games, Culinary Chaos (暴吵萌廚) and Project: Star (未見新星) have respectively received publishing licenses in June and September. Both games are currently undergoing a new round of testing and continuously being fine-tuned.
Culinary Chaos (暴吵萌廚) is a party video game where players, either alone or with a partner, must efficiently prepare and serve a variety of dishes in accordance with recipe instructions by selecting the appropriate ingredients and cooking methods within the set rules. During the process of meal preparation, various events such as obstacles to ingredient fetching, utensils that require washing, and burnt dishes can disrupt the cooking progress. As a result, players need to continuously adjust their steps and directions to handle the unexpected changes. The clever level design necessitates collaborative teamwork while challenging players’ synergy. Bumbling around or well-ordered running, the bond between players is sure to be formed within the bustling kitchen.
Project: Star (未見新星) is a strategic tower defense role-playing game set against a backdrop of a fictional future civilization. In the game, a distant alien world is engulfed by the "Dark Tide", ushering in hordes of unknown monsters that pose a threat to the planet. Players assume the role of outsiders summoned to this otherworldly realm, leading "Hunters" in the struggle against these creatures to safeguard peace. Gamers must nurture and develop these "Hunters" to fully tap their potential, and strategically arrange them in response to the special traits of the monsters, which hones player's overarching tactical skills.
Since the end of 2022, the company has been progressively expanding its team size in the mini-game sector. Leveraging the rapid development and validation features of mini-games to accumulate experience through the transformation of existing products, it has now greenlit several mini-games projects of different types and styles, with the objective of forging a more diversified and innovative product lineup. Moreover, the company is experimenting with a myriad of distribution channels.
